Lyle & Scott was founded in 1874 in Scottland by William Lyle and Walter Scott, with the aid of an 800-pound loan. It initially started as a brand specializing in golf apparel, only to develop a more holistic fashion approach in 2004, turning its focus to a mainstream collection while always maintaining its golf–related tradition.  Lyle & Scott has been awarded by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1975 for its contribution to top professional golfers. In its 148 history, world-renowned designers such as Christian Dior and Michael Kors have contributed to the brand’s look. Besides professional golfers, members of the Royal Family have been known to be fans of the Lyle & Scott brand, as well as popular artists such as the Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Pete Doherty and more.
