The Company

Shop and Trade was established in 1994 as a clothing and footwear imports and distribution company. The company has come a long way since then, distributing a wide range of well known brands to an extensive commercial network.

Shop & Trade has a strong presence in the wholesale market with more than 991 customers in Greece, Cyprus and Southeastern Europe.

The company is also active in the retail market ,operating exclusive stores, franchises, corners and s-i-s in Greece, Romania and Cyprus. Our core commitment and philosophy is to bring authentic, stylish and innovative brands to the consumers, offer rewarding partnerships to our customers and provide security, stability and volume driven, yet selective, distribution to our suppliers.

Milestones

1994

Establishment of Shop & Trade as a wholesale distributor of clothes, shoes & accessories.

1998

Collaboration with SIXTY S.p.A. Italy begins.

2000

Shop & Trade enters the retail market by opening its first store in Athens.

2002

Sales revenues exceed €10 million.

2005

Attica, the biggest department store in Greece begins its operation. Shop & Trade holds a strategic Collaboration with the department store being its biggest supplier.

Opening of SHOP, the first concept store in Greece.

2006

Shop & Trade enters in the S.E. Europe market.

Opening of the first franchise store

2008

Establishment of SIXTY HELLAS, a joint venture with Sixty S.p.A. managed by Shop & Trade.

ICAP Certification:
Shop & Trade is one of the 500 most profitable companies in Greece.

2009

Completion of the construction of the Group’s new premises

2010

ICAP certification:
Shop & Trade is one of the strongest companies in Greece.

Important Collaborations in the action sports market begin. The company undertakes the distribution rights for Quiksilver and Roxy.

2011

Opening of the second concept store SHOP ilisia

2012

Shop & Trade strategically cooperates with the leading retail developer with the aim to operate retail entities in its commercial centers: The Mall, Golden Hall & Flisvos in Athens & Mediterranean Cosmos in Thessaloniki.

Opening of the first Superdry store.

Launch of e-commerce operations (B2B).

2013

Formation of the Action Sports Department. The Company takes the distribution rights for DC, Volcom, Burton and Salomon.

2015

Launch of the B2C eshop shopatshop.gr

Strategic Partnerships

The Company maintains various partnerships with vertical retail operators that are present in Greece, Cyprus, Romania and Bulgaria. The implementation of these collaborations is being made through mono brand stores, s-i-s and multi brand stores.

In addition, the Company has a long-term strategic partnership with the largest department store, Attica. This is a successful retail operator, highly profitable, currently expanding throughout Greece.

Facilities

The offices, showrooms and warehouse facilities are located in a company owned building of a total surface of 20.000 sq.m.
The building is designed by the architectural office M. Kokkinou - A. Kourkoulas & Partners and part of it is rented to other corporate tenants.
The construction has followed green building  principles and practices, reflecting our concern in environmental issues.
The building has participated in international architectural competitions & has received numerous awards and a remarkable media exposure for its bold and sustainable design.
